Avoiding price increases is always tempting, but buying something you want but really don't need goes against my new found sense of frugality.  This stretch of bad economic times has increased my appreciation for holding on to a little more cash than before.  Now if I could buy a CMS system or a pull saw, then I might just loosen my grip on my wallet!!

I'm also considering an R2E and an ETS 125. The R2E price isn't changing, so there's no extra pressure there. The ETS 125 is seeing only a $5 increase and I don't think I need it for the current project. So I don't really have anything left on my list to be affected by the price increase.

Now if I could afford to buy the rest of the Festool line before March 1st…  [cool] [big grin]

I've learned that buying this stuff before I really need it is false economy.  I would like a Kapex, and one day I'll buy one.  It's going up $50 in a few weeks.  But...I have nowhere to put it and it will just sit.  By the time I'm ready to actually have one, there may be a new version out.  And I'll have made all this effort in an attempt to save $50.  Not worth it.

I'm going to buy some consumables that I know I'll need in the near future. A new splinterguard, new blade, some sandpaper, maybe a t-loc or two. Makes sense to save a few dollars if you know you are going to buy them anyway.

I would really consider the MFS!  I recently acquired one & I really like it. There are many creative uses beyond just a rectangle!  If you're going to be doing any arcing...no brainer!

I just bought the Domino DF500 Set. I'm going to buy the systainer with the Domino accessories before March 1. If I had more cash right now, I'd purchase the Kapex, the accessory kit for my OF2200 EB, and the boom set for my CT36.

The size of the increases isn't large enough to make me distort my budget. Like others have said here it's foolish to buy until you are sure you are going to use it.

Thinking about a Kapex.  I probably would have bought it by late April anyways, so may as well save $50.  Lots of retrimming to do so it will come in handy immediately.

I dared to go into my local Festool dealer the other day for the first time in 9 months and was surprised at the outcome. They had a lot on display and I came away feeling I don't actually need any of it. There's stuff I would like but nothing I desperately need. I had a pretty lean Xmas this year and have decided for the first time ever to become a serious saver. Once I have a few grand in the bank as a sensible reserve for a rainy day I may think again. I am still a serious window shopper though and have been a little bit too obsessed lately with the RO90. I intend to remain strong!! BTW I did buy some hoover bags whilst I was there and some Multimaster blades but that hardly makes me reckless!

Which one do you recommend getting? There are 2 400 and 700 they are about 200 bucks difference between the 2.  was thinking the 700 coz its easier to adj it smaller then try to stretch it :>D

My dilemma Is buying the domino now or waiting for the domino xl.

I would also recommend the mfs to anyone thinking about it. One of my best Festool purchases.

I would get the RO90.  If your thinking about getting a larger RO then get the RO125 so you don't have to buy all new sandpaper which is daily good investment.
