I'm selling a boxed set (original box) of Robert Sorby octagonal, boxwood handled chisels. I flattened the backs (no mean feat) and honed the edges and used them a couple of times. I've never used a grinder on any of these chisels. The set includes 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" chisels. They are in great shape - absolutely no rust, and the handles are like new. These chisels are well-known for their ergonomics - they are comfortable, balanced, sturdy, and I personally think that they are the best looking chisels out there.
I got a set of rosewood handled Sorby chisels at the same time that I got these, and they were very serviceable. They were my go-to chisels for 15 years. I think the blades in the two sets were the same, but the boxwood handled ones that I'm selling should be more sturdy due to the strength of boxwood and the hoops.
