Solid Surface Class

That's unfortunate about your wife and Dad, Tom.

I wish them both speedy recoveries...

Scott B, the shirt I wore to class today.

What's that fuzzy thing on top of the shirt?  [poke]

[big grin]

That's how much you gray after 1.5 days of class with Steve.

Double chin, losing my young girlish figure.

Thank you everyone for the wishes.

My wife is being released today----hopefully.

No determination as to what caused the issue.

Dad, well he's old, we'll do our best to take care of him. Just the natural progression of life.

Thanks again everyone.

Tom

The class was great. Steve did a great job.

I had an opportunity to attend a demonstration on the Conturo. It really sucks that it is that good. Wanted an excuse to ignore it but........

Yah, I got the Sedge demo at JLC last week. Didn't think I'd find it that interesting, but...

Tom,
I glad everything turned out ok.  I thought I was the only that things go south when I do something like a Festool class that I've been waiting to do and looking fwd to.

At least everything turned out ok.

So how was the class? Phil brought the contours to my bbq last year. I got tomplay with it  is really is impressive. Plus the accessories are pretty Kool to

Tom,
Glad to hear everything turned out relatively well and that you were able to finish the class.

Tom,
Sorry about your wife & dad.  Glad things seem to be getting better for all.  you seem to have a good attitude and that is important for all three of you (and others in your family).  I wish i could be more helpful as you have been helpful to many of us with your knowledge here on the FOG.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Ron, the class was really good. I learned more than I could have imagined on a short period of time. It was the little tidbits of information that come from experience that made it well worth the investment.

Note to self (and everyone else here) do not go to Vegas during Lent if your wife follows the no meat on Friday rule. You'll end up eating a really bad grilled cheese sandwich at Denny's.

Tom,

That's good news about your wife and Dad.  I'm glad you got to finish the class, too!  The last time I was in Vegas was for the NAHB convention a few years back.  The next time it will be for a Festool class when I am in a better position to afford it.

Please treasure your remaining time with your father.  Don't miss an opportunity to be with him.  Hopefully he'll stick around for a many more years but you never know.  I'd give anything to have had one more day with mine.

Take care,

Joe

p.s.  I suppose the same applies to your wife!  [big grin]

When dad gets done with rehab we'll move him back home. He and mom moved in with us about 7 months ago.

About the  p. s. [He says jokingly] sometimes I wonder.

Wouldn't you know an old New England Yankee would not let a paint spatter go to waste.  [scared]

Vegas during lent, maybe that's a modern version of temptation in the desert?

That's good to hear.  I built a house for my Mom across the street from me so that I can be there when she needs anything.  Now I know why Dad spent so much time in the garage!

There's a reason (besides my lack of good looks) that I am not married.
