Some people think the centrotec installer kit is pricey

Not sure what the big deal is here, WohnGeist is a high end custom furniture maker - that picture is their show room. Everything is quite expensive in Switzerland, labour, property etc. I don't think their target market is a craftsman

I know they are, that's clear to see, but if they now think it's better to show a clinical showroom yet label it as a workshop I think it speaks volumes as to what they are about.

I must have missed something - but next to the picture they say "The WohnGeist showroom in Basel near the Heuwaage at Steinentorstrasse 19 offers a detailed insight into the work of the WohnGeist team"

I didn't see the workshop mentioned?

lhs menu bottom item our company and contact

then workshop photos link

gives you a showroom window photo plus vacuous blurb

No big deal, there's thousands of companies just like that anywhere in the world, nothing special.

One the high end furniture front (WohnGeist) one great company is Riva 1920

They do some very nice stuff, that puts the beauty of wood at the forefront of their design.

At their showroom they also have a museum of tools - check the old bandsaws out
http://www.riva1920.it/en/gallery/2814/

their website is pretty good also - plus some videos on their youtube channel of how they make stuff

I bet some of those bandsaws were seriously loud in operation! Although were some of the oldest ones belt driven rather than electric? I can only see motors on some of them.

In the video they're clearly not too bothered about squeeze out! :)

I do have a frustration with the Centrotec sets ... All the othe Centrotec stuff you collect that doesn't fit nicely into something [sad]

Centrotec storage components should be far more modular and expandable!!

Your falling behind in the He who has the most tool wins contest, I got 2 installer sets mate

Got to put that Fosters down and get to shopping.

My wife loves the new 3 drawer Sortainer and the Timber framing installers set I got her for a early Xmas present, and is letting me use it in the shop...

I can't help but notice that Wohngeist, with one letter moved, spells WongHeist.

[member=9555]Chris Wong[/member] are you owning up to something here? [big grin]
