Is anyone using Marc Sommerfeld"s tools and system for making cabinets?  It's similar to the way I make cabinets but with a couple of twists. I really like his router table setup and the ease of changing bits.

I have not used their router table, I have the Triton 3hp router and it's features are great for table applications. Mine is an older model without the above the table lifting capable, but it does have the micro adjustable and I add a 24" flexible drill extension to do the height adjustment. I am thinking about another one maybe in the future,  but I have 13 different routers now, so a few may need to go. All in all the Triton is a great router, some say that it's too top heavy,  but I find the OF2200 more so (the 3 hp Makita is the best of mine for delicate work with big hp) .

[member=43083]John Beauchamp[/member] John, I have the complete router table set-up from Sommerfeld, and have made numerous cabinets with it.  I really enjoy the matched height sets for his router bits for cope, pattern and raised panel cutters.  I also appreciate the tongue and groove system for face frames.  I purchased the hinge boring bit set as well as the easy mark for door and drawer handles.  I have made cabinets up to 8' with this system and highly recommend it.  The dust collection is okay, and my only other desire would be to have an adjustable split fence, like the Woodpeckers unit.  Other than that, I am really satisfied.

I had a couple of questions once and called for help and received a call back from Marc personally.  Enjoy.  Bill

I have several of his bit sets but don't make cabinets the way he does. They have all performed well. I really like his hinge boring jig it has saved me lots of time and effort. I use a woodpeckers table, and for me, the only other I would look at would be an Incra table...
