I hate to make a new post, but due to FOG not allowing me to include the number '3' as a single character in a search, i need a new thread.

-SO-

What are the internal dimensions of the 'Sortainer 3 drawer' drawers? I am trying to work out if my carvex, BHC, and (near future purchase) CXS will fit into each drawer respectively.
I understand that it has become a cult following to put our sys-1 boxed powertools into a 4 drawer sortainer, however i have no need of the 3 little drawers up top (i have a 9 drawer that does me just fine).
And my closest dealers do not stock, and wont order without payment, a Sort-3 for me to test. :(

Thankyou to anyone that can possibly help!

Hi,

      2 3/4" deep/tall,

      10 1/4"  front to back at center, 10 5/8" L/R of center

      13 3/4" wide

Drill will (C or T) fit with battery removed.  Carvex no (maybe with base removed),  CXS yes. BHC not sure , I think maybe.

A reason that the old style large drawer is still very useful.

Here is a little more.

Measurements are at the bottom / lower portion of the drawer. At the top / upper portion there is about another 5/16" front to back.

15v 3.0 battery just fits

Carvex is just a bit too tall even with base removed.

Carvex fits.

Thanks Seth! That's everything I need to know, a little disappointed however. The idea of stacking all my tools on a Sys-roll and accessing all tools without constant stacking and re-stacking slowly dying.

Yes.

It would be nice if the new T-LOC sortainers would come in different drawer heights, and the systainer sections itself would be easier to disconnect (and reconnect) so creation of the mix of drawers one actually needs (even if the result could deviate from the normal systainer height grid) would be possible - instead of the one-size-has-to-fit-everyone.

because it's late, and I am tired and lazy, will the cxs charger fit into a Sys-Combi bottom drawer? I am thinking of buying Sys-combi 2, and sys-2 attic lid, to lid swap them to have sys-combi with attic lid, to put my Protool DRC 18-4 in the main compartment, and cxs in the drawer. I will be a little disappointed if the charger doesn't fit. Not concerned about the cxs insert tray.
