If i have anything small (screws) inside the drawers of any of the 4,6,9,12 drawer sortainers, how likely are they to fall out inside of the
sortainer if it ends up on its side?

I'm thinking about adding a few sortainers to my arsenal, but i don't want to have to sort it all every time it falls over in my truck.

Thanks in advance.

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like you'd be fine. The left-right cross braces on the "shelves" appear to be at the same/similar points to the drawer inserts, and the drawer inserts are full-height.

You might have a couple small screws jump to freedom, but shouldn't require major sorting.

I just got mine on Sunday (I don't even have anything in mine yet), so I'm sure somebody can give you hands-on experience.

I have two sortainers for my screws/misc. hardware and I've never had a problem with them getting transferred to another draw or being stuck in crevices or openings.  What I have run into is the drawers getting stuck because of screws sticking up or every which way.  I imagine a lot of that has to do with the fact that some of my drawers are loaded pretty full.  If I only kept half of what I did in there now I imagine it wouldn't be an issue.  With that said it's not anything that a good liberal shaking won't fix in a few seconds.

Tested this today with my screw sortainer drawers. Tumbled it around and shook it upside down...... no migration between compartments, and none escaped.    I did have to slip a thin rule in and do some right side up shaking to unjam  a drawer. But this is not unusual.

BTW, do you normally drive in maniac mode so that the Sortainers will be flipping over frequently ?  [big grin]  [big grin]

Awesome! Seems like a sure thing. Now do i spend the extra $35 and buy a Festool branded one or Buy the Tanos brand one from Lee Valley and save a little cash..... [unsure]

Um. No, I don't drive like a maniac, but things happen now and then.
