Could not see that anyone showed this here before...

I really want as much as possible in drawers in my car, but do not want a permanently fixed rack as i want to be mobile.
So i was dissapointed when the new sortainer 4 was limited to having just grey boxes, and only at the sides.
But, it was easy to sand down the guidings in the bottom. I roughly cut out a black base for the box SYS1 and it fitted well in height. But you could just skip the black plastic base and the boxes sits well in there anyway.

Can not see why bottom could not be flat from the beginning with different module inserts for different solutions...

Now waiting for a Sortainer with higher drawers, please, for all my other things! 😁

Great mod! I have been thinking of doing the same myself, as I noticed that the SYS-1 boxes fitted quite well in the new sortainers. Great to see it working!

Why did you cut the black insert in the bottom by the way?

Tja and thank you Magpal! ;)

Yes, great minds think alike! 😀

I cut out the base of the black plastic because it is higher at some points to fill the cross cut shape of the T-Loc systainer bottom.
But now the project is finished (many hours of marking and thousands kronor later) i see that the black plastic needs to go. The drawers does not open long enough to be able to lift out the boxes in the back. With a flat bottom and no black plastic guidings it is easy to lift out the box in front, and slide the one in the back forward and lift it out.
That is nine box systainers that i don't constantly have to lift around and switch place of.

Now just waiting for the emerald green Tanos catches that i ordered to colour mark the sortainers as Essve screws, which is the leading brand here. ☺️

Very nice.  It's good to know that I'm not the only one that very much prefers the coloured boxes over the easy to lose ones.

I had two old Stanley organisation boxes that I rescued from a skip.  I cut individual compartments down to the correct height and put inside my draws, have been more than happy with them for a couple of years now!

I do agree a 2 draw version would hold more of the same type of screws etc as I do like to deposit a complete box of screws at the time I purchased.  Otherwise I end up with screws in my strainers and in boxes in the workshop!  But I'm always amazed out how much i get into these things.
