spraying lacquer over drying oil?

I made some bits and bobs and while playing around with finishes, I tried water based oil finish, salad bowl finish, true oil etc. They're all well dry by now and was wondering if giving them a light scuffing will be enough for applying some spray lacquer over the top. I don't want to spend the time stripping them off, I just want to give them a final leveling, scuffing and spray a few coats of lacquer on top.

Any potential issues to be aware of? Will I need a barrier coat?  ???

I really should just stick to lacquer and stop messing about.

maybe try it on some scrap pieces with the different  finishes first and let us know how it turns out?  Barrier coat? You mean like a sanding sealer?  Interesting.

Put some shellac over the oil and you should be fine.
