Square Drive Bit for DWC 18-4500

Ah...that has a heavily reduced diameter. I see what the challenge is for sure. If Snappy happens to make a regular .25" hex version of the long square drive bit it may work, but it will be close.

EDIT: the shaft diameter of the Snappy 6" square drive is .249". Based on the photo above of the DWC Phillips bit, I'm going to guess it may be too large in diameter, but that's strictly a guess. Slimmer than that might also be pushing things with a square drive/Robertson because they do not let go of the bit very easily.

Yes, that's the issue. none of the bits I have found are thinner enough for the DWC18.

Papester, what is the diameter of the OEM bits from the tip back to the hex section for that tool? 'Just curious...

I know somebody who wanted to use the DWC 18-4500 for a wood application (don't think it was decking; may have been sheathing), and ended up machining down a Square #2 bit to fit through the bushing of the autofeed magazine. I don't recall whether he was entirely happy with it, but I do remember that he said the lower RPM version with more torque would have been preferable for the application.
