I know I am a bit late on this thread but ..... With the help of FOG member Windingo (who refined the "KEY" solution) last Nov, I first made some aluminum flaps to hold the PG's level with the stock I was cutting. Got my neighbor to help me with the boring and taping.

I also was having to really fuss to adjust the pointers to the scales - hard to see. I thought about the red marker (EROCK idea), but never got around to that, then I saw VictorL's solution and really liked that.

The plastic I used was the flat portion of a plastic Festool package from a quick clamp. I then scribed a line which I filled with black marker ink. This was a fun project and makes reading the scale easy.
