Does anybody have an idea how to bid finish treads,finish risers,balusters, rails and posts installation- labor only. Price per tread, per baluster,price per post and half posts, lineal ft of standard Coffman rail. usually I bid by the hour but I'm looking to bid by the above mentioned manner. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks Kevin

This may not be much help but you would be best off using a spread sheet and dividing each job into as many operations as possible.
That way you can just enter the number of treads etc and your answer cost will pop out at the end.
The worst thing will be creating the spreadsheet in the first place....
After that it's easy

Take the number of the individual items you can do in an hour, divide your hourly rate by that number. You now have your piece rate.
Other than that, no one can tell you what to charge per piece or per hour. Only you can calculate your hours rate, factoring in cost plus overhead and profit.
