I doing the Paul Marcel fence mod to my MFT. I'm trying to find a Starret 1/2" Adhesive Tape Metric/Imperial 4 ft long in L to R and in R to L. Lee Valley no longer has them available and they are hard to find. I found them in Imperial, but not in Metric/Imperial. Anybody know where I can find them?

Well, Kreg makes the tapes in imperial OR metric. I've heard they have a combo self-adhesive tape for their miter gauges, but I haven't personally seen them. The tape, though, isn't sold separately.
When LV stopped carrying the Starrett tape, I nearly bought a bunch of the remaining stock they had because it is so perfect for that mod!

These guys sell adhesive rules and offer various configurations and they are inexpensive:

These rules are 2 mil thick polyester, not metal, but in your use that should not be an issue.
I believe McMaster-Carr still sells the Starret rules:

Thanks so much! McMaster-Carr had what I was looking for. I called Starret and they said that they wouldn't have any until November and that they couldn't say what they will, "...come back with..." at that time. I'm assuming that means that they purchase them from another party and don't know they're availability. At any rate, M-C has them in stock and will ship today. I bought a few just in case. Hello all. I've been reading the forum for quite a while but new to posting. I really appreciate all the information on this forum.
Since I was looking for the same thing, I ordered both LtoR and RtoL from McMaster. I received the RtoL and it is Starret. The LtoR is on backorder. I'll update if and when it shows up.

The backorder statement is interesting. One manufacturer I know of is stating that they will not be able to supply metal rules until 2013 because their "metal parts supplier" is moving their factory to another country. Reading between the lines it indicates that perhaps many of the rules, or at least the steel stock, may come from the same source?

That's for the LtoR inch/metric scale. This fits with above comments.
