Stronger dollar = price reduction?

The U.S. dollar has now gained roughly 15% on the Euro since 2011, so why doesn't this translate into a price reduction for tools made in Europe?

Maybe we pay less overall due to taxes, I'm not sure. I think I saw a Domino 500 for 512£, which is roughly $775 -- $50 less than here across the pond, so I don't think our cost is actually lower.

Because you have to see it from the German point of view, they get less dollars for their euro's so prices should go up.
The only way you can gain is to buy euro's which cost you less dollars and buy things with your euro's.
But then you get introduced to the European Welfare Tax that pays for sleeping Euro MP's and that will bump your costs by 20% and then UPS will want heir bit and of course your government will want taxes.
Its called a loose loose situation for you and a win win situation for the politicians.

That price is probably net so you need to add on VAT @ 20%, most places sell them for £600 including VAT. thats around 900$
