I was watching a video by David Barron and was intrigued by a stubby hammer he was using to chop out dovetails. He responded to my email asking about the hammer directing me to Glen Drake. I purchases his #3 Tite Hammer.

I am very much a novice learning dovetails, but the little stubby hammer really gives a lot of control. My #3 is 11 ounces. The smallest is 6 ounces and the biggest 14 ounces.

Glen Drake came into woodworking via sculpture and designs and makes some unique and very ergonomic tools. The stubby hammer is perfection.

David Barron recommended the #3 and that’s what I bought. I don’t know which one he uses.

I have one of the Glen Drake joinery saws.  It is a bit different design but I like using it.
