Stuffing Systainers in a compact king cab truck

I removed the passenger seat of my 2006 Nissan Frontier King Cab to squeeze in as many systainers as possible.  Anyone else do something similar or have some storage ideas in a compact truck to share?

Ha... sometimes you just can only do so much. I don't have a truck, but I can fit 10ft boards up to maybe 8x4" or so, which somehow has come in handy a few times.

    I built a truck vault to go in the bed of my truck with a cap covering the bed, (this way I have a seat left for my dates). [big grin]  It holds a lot of systainers and tools, has some benefits and drawbacks but overall am satisfied with it so far.  I'll take and post some pics if you're interested in going that route, I built it like one I saw here on the fog a long time ago but never could find it again so went from memory. 
    Honestly, there's never going to be enough room in a truck for you, especially when it's not even full size.  A van is the way to go if you get any bigger, or a trailer pulled by the truck.  Just my opinion.

I did the same thing in the same exact truck only a 08. My excuse was room for my two dogs.

The seat is now back in place. Every year when i get inspected i have to have the airbag light reset as i did something to the system when i took out the seat. The mechanic has looked into the problem numerous times and still every year it returns.

More funny is i now have the same problem with my work tools fitting in my truck as you are having. I also have no cap. Depending what i am doing and weather my truck can quickly become stuffed to the brim. Add to it every firday it all has to come out so my dogs can drive around with me then Sunday most of if not all of it has to go back in and I'm getting rather tired of it.

I would just purchase a cap but they present their problems also. Plus i have been spending just about every extra dime i have on some major but really fun tool purchases for nearly a year now. I have no $$$$ left for a dam cap.

My plan long term is get a Transit or Sprinter and keep the truck for truck type needs around the house ans work when need be..

I did that in my previous vehicle, a Mazda B2200.  I could also fit 6' or lumber in there to keep it dry in rainy Vancouver.  My passengers were amused, and it got me out of a lot of driving responsibilities.

I am jealous with American people. You can do whatever you want at your vehicles. Here in Spain everything is forbidden unless you paid for it ( homologation ) and there are too many cases that you can not do, as for example have tools, hardware or wood at the cabin of the van.

I built this into the ext. cab portion of my old f 150. It wasn't the best for optimizing space, but it made getting to what I need quick and efficient.

It didn't last long, didn't like listening to all the tools bounce around.

What are you doing with the back of the truck? A cap and a bedslide would be a big improvement. I wouldn't want to get squished by systainers/kapex in an accident.

It's not 100%. It's stupid when you own the damn thing, someone tells you what you can and cannot do with it, even when your changes don't violate another person's rights.
