I looked at that this am and would caution anyone about ordering from that site.

To begin with, it's an unencrypted site, so any credit card or personal data that you enter there goes across an unsecured connection and is open for the world to see. In other words, someone with nefarious intent can pick up your info and use it for their pleasure.

Secondly, their security from Volusion has expired, if it ever existed in the first place. Clicking on that logo on their site brings up this message:

Well ... I hope the site s OK.  I had ordered one of each before the warning ...

Update: I did just go to the Festool USA site, and they are listed as an online Festool dealer.

Around a year ago they were mentioned as having the Festool branded folding rule for sale.
I bought one with no issues but I don't think I checked the site's security status then.

thefestoolstore.com is In Touch Tools with a brick and mortar store located in Palm Desert, CA.  Jay, Maria, Aldo and the rest of the crew run a family friendly tight ship and are extremely customer oriented.  I have purchased several items online from them and at their store with the highest satisfaction.

I have attended two one-day Festool training sessions at their place of business in 2011 and 2012.  They were presented by Allen Kensley and Steve Bace.  You don't get anymore legit than that.  I highly recommend them and give them a call to get any questions anwered.

I placed an order for some about 4 hours ago and received this reply later.

"Unfortunately, we have depleted our availability of these items and are unable to fulfill your order."

I got the same email reply.  I'm gonna go spend some money on something else to ease the pain and suffering.

UPDATE:  I went to Woodcraft and bought a 30" Woodpeckers Aluminum Ruler and the Sliding Stop for it.  Wow, I feel so much better already ...

I wonder if that is a older model as WoodPeckers do not list that P/N# on their current page
as there are a few different models of 50"
the one I just got has the center scale of 50" & has the hook stop holes .
I just used mine yesterday for the 1st time & WoW what a great ruler that is
Plus that rule stop is to Die For , makes for so many different uses .
I had got the 36" & 50" I just need  24" & 12" now .
I  wish they'd hurry up with the 26" & 18"  square's already [tongue]

This rule retails for $70 and I have never seen it less than $60 so this is a pretty sweat discount

[thumbs up] you guys got a deal of a life time  [scared]   L O L

they just adjusted the prices on that 50"ruler up to 69.00  [eek] just minutes ago !  !  !

Concerned Foggers,

Rest assured we at In Touch are a legitimate Festool dealer with a brick and mortar store in Palm Desert, CA from where we ship all of our online orders. We were unaware of the security holes in our site. Our website was recently re-designed and it's possible the issue arose from there, but we will address this issue immediately.

It seems this post drew a lot of orders to our site for the classic systainers and we quickly ran out. We sincerely apologize for not being able to fulfill all of your orders.

Sincerely,

Aldo & everyone else at In Touch Tools

On behalf of In Touch Tools, CONGRATULATIONS to everybody who purchased this ruler before we noticed the incorrect pricing! Good news is those of you will receive your rulers at this awesome price... the bad news is the balance is coming out of my pocket. Just kidding, of course. Actually, the owners of the store and I are having a pretty good laugh about this.

Sorry Slappy, next time.. :(

Hey Aldo,
I never meant to create any issues for you with my post, I was simply was trying to spread the word on a good deal i saw that i assumed was accurate. Hopefully my post which cleared out your classic systainers eased the blow of the 50" rules a bit!

On the bright side, this obviously raised a little awareness to your store and the fact that you run a first class operation! I will feel more than comfortable buying through your site in the future and look forward to doing so!

Thank you for the great deal on the rule!! I can assure you its coming to a good home  [big grin]

John
