stumbled on some cheap classic systainers online

MODERATORS

I would like to ask if any posts starting with fatroman (including this one) which rise concern in the legitimacy of In Touch Tools, thefestoolstore.com can be modified or deleted as to not rise future issues for the store in the event that someone only scans the top of this thread

Additional to Aldo's very professional and timely response, i can say that i personally ordered from them recently and had a shipping confirmation within 24 hours!  cant get more legit than that!!

Fatroman - I dont mean to discount your post, in fact at the time it was warranted and appreciated, however now with the info we have it seems misleading and i would hate for it to cause any issues for an obviously stand up company!

Thank you
John

they also had a mis-priced Woodpeckers 50" ruler as well
they got that issue settled  in a classy way also .

I ordered one of the 50" rules ($41.99) and a rule stop and received an order confirmation email showing the $41.95 price. I just checked and they have corrected the price at their website. Did they reject some of the orders at the incorrect price?

Claimdude, In touch tools is being real cool about the whole thing and honoring the price for anyone who placed their order before the price change. Seeing as you got a confirmation I would say your good to go!

This link will bring you to Aldos post in another thread about the 50"...  I think I saw u post over there but there it is in case u missed it.

Well,
with how Aldo & In Touch Tools crew  has handled this whole thing , I'd say they are Top Shelf in my book !

I plan on looking over their site regularly when I am in need of tool ( that's quite often )
I will put them into my bookmark of on-line stores that I use for my weekly sweeps of products that I either need , want to have .
I fully support the small vendors in my buying practices < I wish I had a local WW B&M like them near me  [tongue]

I hear you and agree that the people and company are probably great based on some of the posts here, but I have to say I agree with Fatroman - the security of the website still questionable and that's not misleading.  I don't see SSL (HTTPS) on the login page or where I'd go to enter my credit card info and the logo that they put on their own page to tell people that it's a secure site and "click to verify" comes back saying it's not a valid site.  Basically, they have some fixes to make.

On behalf of In Touch Tools, CONGRATULATIONS to everybody who purchased this ruler before we noticed the incorrect pricing! Good news is those of you will receive your rulers at this awesome price... the bad news is the balance is coming out of my pocket. Just kidding, of course. Actually, the owners of the store and I are having a pretty good laugh about this.

Hey Aldo,
I never meant to create any issues for you with my post, I was simply was trying to spread the word on a good deal i saw that i assumed was accurate. Hopefully my post which cleared out your classic systainers eased the blow of the 50" rules a bit!

On the bright side, this obviously raised a little awareness to your store and the fact that you run a first class operation! I will feel more than comfortable buying through your site in the future and look forward to doing so!

Thank you for the great deal on the rule!! I can assure you its coming to a good home  [big grin]

This being said, we appreciate you guys bringing this to light. It was an issue we were unaware of and are currently resolving it. We want everyone who uses our online store to feel secure and confident shopping, like we would make any walk-in customer feel.

Foggers,

We appreciate the continuous support we receive from you guys here on the FOG, and we are glad we have left positive things to say about us, in spite of these issues. Rest assured, customers have always been and will always be our priority.

Received an e-mail from Aldo last night advising me the 50" ran out of stock before all orders could be filled and that Woodpeck was also out of stock. He apologized for the delay and said my 50" rule would ship direct from Woodpeck when they are back in stock in about 2 weeks. He also said the rule hook stop I ordered was being shipped right away.

Aldo and TheFestoolStore rock!!!

Also free shipping!!

This rule retails for $70 and I have never seen it less than $60 so this is a pretty sweat discount

I ordered one earlier and already got a shipping confirmation

Concerned Foggers,

Rest assured we at In Touch are a legitimate Festool dealer with a brick and mortar store in Palm Desert, CA from where we ship all of our online orders. We were unaware of the security holes in our site. Our website was recently re-designed and it's possible the issue arose from there, but we will address this issue immediately.

It seems this post drew a lot of orders to our site for the classic systainers and we quickly ran out. We sincerely apologize for not being able to fulfill all of your orders.

Sincerely,

Aldo & everyone else at In Touch Tools

Sorry Slappy, next time.. :(
Hi all,

Just wanted to say that I was one of the folks that did get in on this great deal from In-Touch Tools (before the price went back up to where it should have been), and that Aldo stood behind it, even though it was a mistake. Because he ran out of stock pretty quickly, he had to order more from Woodpecker's, and that took four months, but I finally got the 50" (not 50', tee hee) rule Monday. Thanks Aldo!!!! Definitely a class act.

Regards, Dick

P.S.: And thanks to NERemodeling for the "heads up".

I did  not know of them until reading this thread. Seth's note and the rest of the thread not only made me aware of this vendor, but also left me with 'warm fuzzies' regarding their commitment to their customers. Good job, Aldo!

Now, how do I get notified for the next pricing error?

;D
