Suction Hose holder???

Has anyone used this tool?  I know the Boom arm is the Cat's pajamas, but I need something more portable and affordable that keeps me from tripping on the hose/cord and keeps the hose/cord from bindiing while making the right angle turn from the floor to the guide.  The suction hose holder looks like it may be what I need.  Any input will be appreciated.

Without the Boom Arm, the Suction Hose Holder does help somewhat to bring the hose to MFT or cutting table height and may make the hose less prone to catching on the edge.  With the Boom Arm, the Holder does a nice job of routing the Boom's D50 hose back to the Arm.

   The hose holder is kind of low. Can you attach a bungee cord from the ceiling and hang the cord/hose from it? I have the boom arm and the upper and lower parts separate pretty easily for transport.

And yet another option...  You could get a Triton Multi-Stand (great little item) and simply clamp a 2x in the stand's head and tilt and lock it to the desired angle.  Now hang the hose and cord.  Someone on this board has done just that and has the pictures to prove it...  Just didn't take the time to track it down.        Stands are available (at times) from Amazon for anywhere from $40 to $59.

I was painting the outside of my house the other evening 'till it was too dark to see.  Hooked a flood light on the end of a 2x and extended it out over the deck to shine some light on the subject.  Great stands!

Hi.  I started with the "Suction Hose Holder".  It works OK, but I found that it didn't help me that much.   You still have the hose and cord hangin' around (sorry for the pun).   I'm concerned that you would get it not be happy with it as a complete solution.

Then I finally got the Boom Arm.  Big difference in usability!   It is fairly portable because the boom arm can be detached quickly, albeit at the expense of some increased weight.   Here's a pic showing the Boom Arm detached and the D50 hose going through the Suction Hose Holder and the Boom Arm broken down for tranport:

As Corwin suggested, please check out my Boom Arm review for more info and other pics.  Depending on how portable you want the CT to be, the Boom Arm may meet your requirements. Regarding the cost, well that's a different story.  They are pricey.   More affordable options include the Triton multi-stand and a bungee cord from the ceiling.   IMO, nothing is perfect; success is finding the right balance.
