sumthing up with my fog unread topic list

lately when i click on the unread topic button in the top coner it brings me to a screen that showns that there are no unread topics but i know that there are. if i click the show all unread topics on the page it will show them but only until i click on one , the next time i go to unread topics it the same.
its like this for the past month on and off but lately its all the time. its a pain in the nether regions.
has any one else got this problem.
its probably on my end  but i can figure it out.
has it something to do with cookies or that i have an old piece of crap computer.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. It may very well have something to do with cookies. Without digging through the forum code, I don't know for sure that that functionality uses cookies, but it makes sense that it may. Have you, for instance, tried from another computer or using a different browser just to troubleshoot?

I hit the above  when that happens. It's in the grey bar in the middle of the pop up. Not a big deal.  [smile]

highly doubt that unread topics are kept in cookies, its most likely server side. Otherwise logging in from multiple locations would constantly result in different lists

I think is a mix of both.  I logon in my laptop and click unread then all unread posts showed, if I then use my Ipad or anther computer the unread list is empty, then a new list is formed with new unread posts.

That happend if I use two computers in a short window of time.

Happens to me all the time with 'new replies to your posts'. You click the first and when you go back the whole thing changes completely? I'm rubbish with computers!

i happens on all computers.
it is a pain in the asre as if there is a hot topic getting lots of posts as every time you click unread it shows the lastest(maybe 1 or 2 but only scince you clicked it the last time) .

it easily doubles or more the time taken to read the unread posts
