Picked up a 1938 this weekend at woodcraft :). Manual states 600 cfm
Needed for dust removal. I've read somewhere I should be using at least
1100cfm. Anyone have this machine? What are you using?
Thanks

Gonna be difficult moving 1000cfm through a 4" port !

Effectiveness also depends on how far away the sander is from the fan and your duct system.

Gotcha. Most units I've seen have a 5 or 6" outlet choked down to
4" at the  machinery. Was curiou as to what others who have this unit are using with success

I have this machine and it is awesome. I have an Oneida v3000 cyclone that is vented outdoors. The 1938 is the first machine in the run and the v3000  collects perfectly. Absolutely zero dust. I've never checked how many cfms its pulling at the machine but it works.
