Sys-az installation

I just ordered a couple of sets of the Sys-AZ drawer systems.  I've used them before but mounted the rails in a fixed position instead of using 32 mm shelf pin holes. I'm building a new rolling cabinet for my Dash-Board and I think this time I want to build in the flexibility in case I need to change my systainer heights.  The instructions say to install the first row of holes 58 mm from the front. However, and I don't have an LR 32 system, I can't find a shelf pin jig that has a 58 mm setback. This jigs I have been able to find all use a 37 mm setback. What would be a good way to accomplish this task? I suppose I could draw a pencil line at 58 mm and set a jig over it and clamp it. Not perfect but I suppose it would work.

Laying them out by hand (or making a jig) look to be the best choices, without going into buying a commercially made jig.

Depending on how much you trust the front / rear edge of your existing jigs to be parallel to the hole, you can also clamp your rail as a fence to make it easier.  I assume the jig probably has an indexing pin to shift it along already.

Ironically, I just accomplished what you’re trying to do yesterday. I used the Rockler jig (https://www.amazon.com/Rockler-Drill-Straight-Holes-Self-Centering/dp/B006WMRJRM) and disassembled it and turned it upside down so the setback rail would not interfere. I then manually marked the first hole at 58mm setback from the front and 8mm up from the bottom. I marked a 58mm setback line at the top hole of the jig too. I drilled the first hole at the bottom and then installed the 5mm peg included with the jig and centered the jig on the top hole and drilled and pegged that one too. With the two pegs in place, I drilled the rest of the holes in between in addition to adding two more at the top of my cabinet. I then marked a line at 224mm from the first whole (282mm from front edge of cabinet) and repeated the process.

I did this for six cabinets and the results worked as the sys-az drawers fit and work nicely. I did notice Rockler has a simpler jig that looks like it would work without having to disassemble the jig I have.
