I joined a week or so ago looking for ideas on building a unit for some sys-az drawers I bought back in October from FFX, I saw Jonny's video, which I enjoyed & it got me thinking of what I could make.
My problem is I don't have a lot of space, this is a cabinet I built a few years ago
As you can see Festool fever has taken hold & I've out grown my first effort slightly [embarassed]
I needed to build something that fit in this space preferably out of materials I had to hand, so this is what I came up with.
I realise this is higher than Festool recommend but not only is it fixed to the wall but I also made some locking adjustable feet so I could accurately level the unit.
The frame is simply dominoed together & made from off cuts of pine joists, I took a few photos as I progressed these are they if anyone is interested.
Marking out
Gluing up the sides
Dominoing the rails
Final glue up
Lastly a couple of photos of the unit loaded up
Hope this thread is OK, it's my first so I've probably got something wrong so mods please feel free to delete it.
Also apologies for the photos I only have a I-phone & it doesn't like the fluorescent lighting in the shop.
Cheers,
Doug.
