Sys-Toolbox extension

Howdy,
I kind of wish Festool/Tanos made this.  It's a Sys-Toolbox extension that increases capacity of box plus allows connection of Systainer.
One that is about 3.25" tall would allow for the handle to be cleared.  But, in order to attach to the top of a T-Loc, it would need to be the height of a Sys I (about 4").
Also could be used on top of stingy storage area on the CT-Sys Vac.
Picture is of the 3.25" extension.  I have a 4" one made that is capable of locking on top of a T-Loc Systainer.
Had to turn adapter that allows T-Loc latch to mount to box frame.
I really like the Sys-Toolboxes, but don't necessarily like having place them on top of the stacks.

Just this issue with the toolbox having to the the top Systainer had prevented me from buying them. I Carry my Systainers on my bike, and it rains a lot here, so this mod solves the problem. Thanks for sharing..

Thought I would pass on the 4" extension that allows connection to both top of Sys-Toolbox as well as top of T-Loc Systainer.
Also connector hub for T-Loc latch is thrown in.  Hopefully, somebody can use this information or has some thouhts on it.

Your SYS-Toolbox extension is great!  A lot of thought and ingenuity went into building it.  Thanks for sharing!

In the first picture you posted your systainers are mounted on a really nice looking DIY SYS-Cart.  would you mind posting a few photos and elaborating on how you made the cart?  [big grin]

Thanks, Mike A.

Sure will Mike.  Will post later tonight as I am at work right now.
Thanks for your opinion!
Regards,
Paul

Hi!

Now that's a fantastic idea [member=5154]paulymatic[/member] !

You wouldn't happen to have made some plans and maybe want to share them? I would love to "steal" your idea and built an extension for my CT-SYS :)

Kind regards,
Oliver

Tanos used to make an extension like that for the old style systainer.  I used to have a catalog that showed it, would be nice if they made them again.

Since the T-Lok uses cleats on the bottom of the box instead of tabs on the side I can't imagine a way to mold an extension sleeve.

This hybrid is joined to to an open top tool box instead of either type of Systainer.

Great idea and thanks for posting. I've been running into wanting something like this.  Do you mind sending me the plans?

Just when it was a great idea, you added the MFT Top.  Superb!

Neat idea for getting more in a SYS toolbox and the Systainer stacking facility is very impressive.
Good stuff!

If you get a chance, do you think you might still be able to post the photos?

Thanks, Mike A.
