As the title says ,  anybody tried to use the small vac with the Festool cyclone.
If the vac has very little in the bag after the cyclone , then why use a big vac?
Something I’ve been noodling over today.
Thanks, Charlie

Power, power, power.

CT-Sys is a bit light in the pants to be running a separator , which reduces airflow but it's very nature.

It will work , but not well.  The small turbine wasn't designed with much capacity from the get go.

Yes. I use ct-sys with the Festool separator all the time. 36 m hose to the Kapex. Performance is reduced from cyclone on ct-48 in my shop, but I’ve downsized to a smaller vehicle and it’s the best setup I can carry on a daily basis. It saves many emptying of the tiny bag in the ct-sys and it’s far better than no dust collection.

Thanks folks,
That is what I was looking for.
Small ,compact unit for a mobile worker.

Curious why you don't just get a Mini or Midi ?

By the time you add in the separator your footprint / cu. ft. of storage is the same.

I can see for a quick service call where you might be drilling a couple of holes or cutting an outlet; the CT-sys would be advantageous.  But almost all other times the added power, and mobility of the mini/midi would shine.  If you run a planer a lot, the separator would be better too.

I think for me ,
I will get both.
I want/ need the cys-vac for small punch list stuff and the Midi for the rest. I have a ct-26 but find it a bit heavy for MY site work.
If I stay on site for a bit, it’s fine , but going to multiple jobs a day, I need more mobility.
Thanks again ,Charlie
Ps, I was just curious if anyone had done it.
