I did a search for the magnet swivel mount and found that it comes when you order the "set". Unless I am missing something is the set not available in the US?

This may be departing from the thread's topic, but what do Syslite owners use to mount the light? Anyone have suggestions for the following:

A handle that allows some adjustment or flexibility?
A stand to hold the light on a bench or above the bench?

I've wanted to make use of the threaded hole in the end but I guess am not creative enough to find brackets or holders or stands or to make something. Right now, it's a light which I find useful but it would be much more useful if I could find ways omg mounting so not to have to hold it or just set it flat on a bench.

I use mine on a cheap ($15?) Kodak branded tripod all the time. I also hook the hook on my shirt so it's kind of like a chest mounted headlight. The latter works great for grilling at night when I'm too lazy to set up the tripod.

Shane,

What does 321312321321 mean?  Hopefully a link for the Festool magnet swivel mount!  I just live a few miles down the road from the Festool USA warehouse in Lebanon, IN. What a dream it would be to see the inventory inside!

Nick

I don't believe you can  make a purchase directly from Festool.  They don't compete with their dealers.  Take one of the classes!  there's a tour of the facility included [smile]

Amen...good luck getting inside.

I think Shane means that it's going to be released on 3/21 or March 21st he just didn't say what year!

I have not done it yet but have been wanting to use some of my go pro mounts to make it more versatile. Such as the suction cup or mounting one to a heavy spring clamp etc.  Also just get a spare mount for your tripod and leave it on the light. I typically have a tripod on site with me and this takes one of the pesky tasks out of the equation.

So, from all the responses, the threaded hole must be the same size and thread as a normal tripod such as is used for a camera.

A camera tripod works very well for a lot of tasks, but I prefer to hang it from an ac register or ceiling grid if possible.

I use microphone gooseneck arms from Amazon to mount cameras/lights/whatever. The arms themselves are tough and cost

Agreed but then we run into issues if using a battery for power.

I bought one of these Gorillapods and liked it but can't find it!

It is 10 bucks in Amazon right now and other colors for other prices. Joby GP1-A1EN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Grey) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EVSLRO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_lpyevb10ZDDBG

It is nice as a standard tripod, but also will grip around anything you want to focus light directly where you want it.

Cheers. Bryan.

Looks great, but it says it's intended for use with digital cameras 11.5 ounces or less. I would guess the Syslite is more than 11.5 ounces. I sure feels that way.
