Does the syslite shut down by over heating ? I have had it for a couple of days now and it is shutting off by switching to low light and 30 seconds later shuts down like the manual states about overheating. When your try to charge it it takes 15 to 20 minutes to cool down to charge.

That is what it also does when the battery is low or dead. Have you tried it with another battery? Or after it has fully recharged?

There were several discussions here a few years ago on the increased run time of a Syslite with Festool batteries of different voltages and different amperages. Depending upon the battery used, they provided 2-4 hours of extra light, if I remember correctly. It would be even more now with the recently released batteries.
