Just a question for anyone who owns a actual sysport, I am building my own sysports and am wondering if anyone can tell me what the inside dimensions of a sysport are?
 
Depends on the thickness of your drawer slides. There are a bunch of build posts on these, try the search function. :D
 
I have searched the posts but have not found what I was looking for, I just am looking to find out what the inside dimensions are for a actual festool sysport 1000.
 
My shop-made sysport measures 18" on the inside dimension.  The drawer slides are 1/2" each, so the outside dimension of the drawers is 17".  The drawers are made with 1/2" baltic birch, so the inside dimension of the drawers is 16", which is a little bigger than the width of the Systainers.  I also have a Festool Sysport, but not here where I am.  The dimensions of the Festool Sysport would be different since it is made from sheet metal.  As Eli said, it depends on the materials and slides you use.
 
I guess I am not being clear enough, What I am looking for is someone who owns a sysport 1000 that they bought from Festool and what I am trying to find out is what are the inside dimensions of it. Thanks

Sounds clear enough to me, and I hope the owner of a Sysport can take a little bit of time to measure their one for you.

Frank Pellow, a very active member of FOG said he had a genuine one back in October, and you might want to e-mail or PM him in case he doesn't spot this thread. Of course, like Daviddubya, he may not have access to it at the moment, and you may have to wait a bit.

the inside dimentions for the sysport are  16 15/16'' w x 36 7/8'' h x 15 11/16'' d  I hope this helps.

Thanks Joe this is exactly what I was looking for,  If it's not to much trouble could you tell me what the height is from the floor to the top of the unit? The reason I wanted the dimensions is I am using the guide in the festool catalogue regarding the amount and types of systainers that fit in the sysport as a guide for my design. Once again thanks alot for your help on this.
 
The height from the floor including castors is 43 1/8'' the height without castors is  39 3/8'' . Make sure to post your design when you are done.

Unless Matthew has an issue I have no idea, I know VERY FEW posts are ever deleted here, far less than on any other forum.
