I grew weary of having to push the pesky, green drawer release button to open a drawer on my Sysports, particularly when reaching for the bottom drawer.

I searched for a way to override the green button function, while retaining the safety of single-drawer open at a time. I just needed a way to hold the button in. The green button is about 5/8" in diameter and needs to be depressed about 3/16" to release the lock. I needed some sort of wedge or shim to slide inside the sysport, around the button, to hold it open.
While visiting my Festool dealer today, I discovered some nylon wire clamps. The loop diameter is 1/2" and the width of the clamp is about 3/8". Hmmmm, if I split the clamp in half with the band saw, the open loop should slip right over the pesky green button and hold it open.

Sure enough!!! Works like a charm. Takes mere seconds to install, or uninstall. Now I can open the drawers, one at a time, without pressing that pesky, green button.
