theres a festool Belgium contest going on where you can win €1000 in festools if your video gets the most youtube votes.

so i grabbed my courage together and made this:

Festool sysport workbench

a short intro of my shop, and a detailed explanation of what my sysport workbench can do.
first 10 entries get a syslight, looks like i may be one of them,
but if you ever want to see a domino XL review here, then you better vote  ;D

btw, how's my english besides my boring tone?

Good job, Tim!  My only suggestion is to ease up on fast camera movements as it makes Darcy naucious, he's said (motion sickness probably).  [big grin]

Very impressive.  You actually motivated me to leave my first comment ever on YouTube.

BTW, about your English, you speak it better than a lot of Americans.  Not sure if that's damning with faint praise, but it's meant as a compliment.

Regards,

John

Really nice bench system. I'm going to incorporate the slots on the bench legs for clamping. Very well thought out.

thank you for the nice comments and votes guys!

Loved it.  So where do we vote and leave a comment?

if you have a youtube account (it's free to register) , you are then able to vote a thumbs up or down on any vid and post comments.
you need to click on the youtube logo to go see the vid on youtube, there you can vote and comment.

theres a few other vids, and i suspect most were rapidly posted just to get the syslight and that's fair enough, i'm using my connections here to get votes from interested people. others i have seen have linked their vid to their facebook account and got many votes that way regardless of the quality of the vid. serves me right for resisting FB.

anyway i at least hope the winning vid will be a good one, and not one from someone who's got many "friends"  [tongue]
the contest lasts untill december 6th

Gave you another like on YT. Nice demo of a very nice and well thought out workspace Tim. Your English is just fine, both in writing and spoken. But dang, get some capitals in there, no capitals is just bad form in any language.

Tim your English is very good, a lot better than my Dutch, French or German none of which I can actually write or speak.  Despite my years of french language education (French is one of two official languages in Canada) in grade school here in Canada I really can't speak a word of it.

Si, si, tu peux. Just think of all those rude words you learnt as a kid ;)
I went to school at 30 to learn French. But that was 20 years ago and I reckon timtool's English accent is still better than my French one. But Tim, if it's any consolation I  have a ard time understanding French Canadians  ;)

Very well done. I want to see the rest of your shop now! You have a lot of great ideas in there!

Look what the mailman brought today!
Only two days after i posted my video

Festool Syslite demo

Thank you Festool,
It looks very nice and practical, and it's crazy how wide it lights.
Comes in a nice little bag, which i am going to use to transport my camera!

It light my whole workshop
Comes with a standard dc charging cord, and a cigar lighter cord for the car.
None of the four sides have the same angle, so you can choose the lightning angle by placing it on a different side.
I don't think i would have ever spent the money on it (€170) but now that i have it i am certainly not going to spit on it.

Nice work!  I like the idea for the boom arm, what a easy and inexpensive solution.

great video ,this is the first video on Youtube that I watch the whole thing .You have a really nice setup for your shop .You came up with alot of great ideas there .
