Systainer-compressor out of makita AC001

I dont imagine that will be to hard once the Rolair hits the shelves, the must sell "replacement" parts ??

Does anyone know where to get the gage cutout from the rolair or Cade’s?
I’ve messed around and uploaded models to Shapeways and found their pricing very reasonable, though never placed an order. I have used a product for smoothing 3D prints called XTC-3D with good results. Single coat, 2 part epoxy levels the ridges. Sands easy.

Has anyone regretted putting their compressor in a systainer? I picked up an Omega PN1004 and was thinking about doing this.

Rolair and every other company that ever sold a compressor in a systainer....except Cadex

I personally like being able to click it right into the stack, im still in the middle of upgrades but I cant imagine id ever not like the convenience
I will say this though

Senco pc 1010--$120
Systainer 4.        $90
Parts.                  $75 ?  Probably more
Gathering parts  time ?

Ready made Rolair $475
Hmmm
But with all that said, its kind of a fun project

The Rolair AIRSTAK produces 2.0 SCFM compared to well less than 1 SCFM for the little compressors people are DIYing.
Therefore it can run a framing or roofing nailer where the DIY units can only run trim nailers.

Consider that before you compare the two options.

I haven't yet found a compressor that makes as much SCFM but will fit in the footprint on a Systainer.

If anyone does, post it up!

Just get the Cadex SYS4 like I did.  3.8 CFM @90 psi.

I did read in my research somewhere it is able to accomodate two users using larger guns.

IMO, it is far superior to the AirStak, specs and quality build-wise.  And that's from a loyal Rolair owner and Fan....me!

As someone who recently made a sys compressor. It was very cheap compared to the cadex or rolair

Sys 4 -$90 cad
Senco pc1010 clone - $150 cad

$250 ish and a few hours of spare time, no additional parts were necessary. Granted its a pretty weak compressor, but I knew that and it's more than fine for what I do.

I just grab my mac700 if I'm using a nail gun all day
