systainer for paslodes

This is what I did with my 16ga Cordless Paslode Nailer.  Its in a classic sys3.  Im working on a new one that will go in a sys3 t-lock,  just havent had the time to finish it.  My set up works great for me have everything in one box.  I agree Paslode cases are not very user friendly and are very difficult to organize in a truck.[attachimg=2][attachimg=4][attachimg=3][attachimg=5][attachimg=6][attachimg=7][Inline mode=1][attachimg=1]

[thumbs up] I really like the little draw underneat the frame that might work out great for me I find that every time I open the paslode case there are nails everwhere

That's a great idea. I've ordered a sys3 df to see how much storage for brads their will be. I will post some pics when I've converted. I was thinking about getting both in 1 box, but the more I thought about it, I realised I don't use them at the same time. Ones first fix and ones second fix and in my shop I use air nailers. That's what I have been thinking why but it in a big sys when you can get sys in the same space roughly and then your not carrying a guy around that you don't need

Definitely use my idea's and post what you come up with.  I made mine a year ago and its held up great.  The draws are nice for nail storage.  I like that everything has its own spot and stays in it.  Every time I would open my factory case I would get frustrated  how nails would be everywhere.

yeah the lids been changed, I'm actually going to put this paslode in a orange tanos sys 2 just so it's more In keeping with paslode really.

Pretty sure I've tried both my very old style second fix Paslode (straight nailer) and NR90G Hitachi in a T loc box and unless it was a very deep box it wasn't happening for either.

On a side note, one of the lads at work bought one of the straight nail Hitachi second fix guns and personally I prefer it to any of the second fix Paslodes I've used, just seemed better balanced plus it was quite a lot cheaper so I suspect that the next nailgun I buy will be a straight NT65 thing.

Never buying an angled second fix gun cos no site I've ever been on supplies the angled brads and there's no way on earth I'm supplying my own.

Wait for it to start going wrong ! I know 2 guys with them. One has the Hitachi and the other had the bostitch (exactly the same) and they've both been backwards and forwards from the dealers several times. Shame as they do look good tools apart from the noise and smell.

I'm happy with my set up at last, small quiet senco compressor in a systainer , bostitch light flexible hose and several bostitch guns.

I also own a Bostitch GFN1664K-E.
Very nice and lightweight for a gas/battery machine.
But I find the gas cans a problem because there is no indication of empty cans.
It's now in repair for half the price of a new one.
And I'm already waiting for a month now to get it back.

Now I'm thinking of buying the Bosch GSK 18 V-Li with batteries only.
But find the price fairly steep (€508 excl.VAT).
Body only is no issue because I don't have other Bosch batteries.
Any experienced users here with the Bosch GSK?
Only other 16G battery nailers are from Senco Fusion which are way more expensive.

I'd rather not have another battery system.
Might look at a battery powered grinder or recipro saw in the future.
DeWalt and Milwaukee are not my kind of brands.
But Bosch or Metabo are oke.

I really like how Bosch is working out it's "system" with the vac, dust collection, l-boxx etc but all their tools seem to me, underpowerd compared to the competition
I'm currently invested in Milwaukee and have no complaints, it's all held up really well but I do hate their carry boxes though. Been looking at lot at Festool 18v line up lately, mainly because of the HKC55 saw. But it's hard to beat the Milwaukee lineup and their single charger for both 18v & 12v batteries is also a godsend.

I use to have the Dewalt nailer and it has the similar size to the Bosch,  It was was really bulky to deal with.  It was always a pain to get in the hard to reach spots.  I find the the paslode is more refined  tool.  Granted you have to buy gas, but it works great and is packed in a small frame compared  to other brands.  The only negative  of the paslode when using on cold days 32f and below the gas needs to be warmed to use.  I normally keep one gas pack in my pocket to keep warm and switch between the two.  Once you start working the nailer heats up and the problem goes away.

I made this for my IM65. Just a quick knocked together job as my old case had fallen apart, all in an old style sys 2,  I've managed to fit in the gun, gas, 3 batteries, oil, nails and charger

@Neeleman don't get the Bosch it's horrible. A guy I know has had one awhile now and I used it. Very big & bulky, doesn't always sink the nails and has an annoying ring after every shot.

I have the Bostitch back and it works well again.
Hopefully it will last a little longer.
It's still a nice and lightweight machine which is not too bulky.

i have the dewalt version of the bosch nailer.

It works great, yes its bulky and a tad heavy, but it works without kickback when nailing into hardwood.

would not hesitate to replace it with the bosch or the newer dewalt coming out this year.
