Systainer inserts

I have consolidated a lot of tools in one systainer and now how a few empty ones.
I want to get some inserts and re-purpose some.
Does anyone know where I can find a list.
I did a search but nothing came up

Lee Valley sells some items that might fit your need. But without knowing what you plan to repurpose them to; and maybe you don't either at this point in time; it's difficult to point you in right direction.

From what I have read here on the FOG many have created their own custom inserts to suit whatever it is they wanted to store in a Systainer. I made a simple insert for my DeWalt track saw to fit a Sys5 I bought from Lee Valley. It was black and yellow (DeWalt colors) and I did not care for the DeWalt case that same with the saw plus it could not stack with all my FT Systainers. SO I used some 1/4" plywood and whatever I had in the scraps bin to make an insert to hold the saw securely along with the accessories like track clamps, blade wrench, manual, etc. I stole the piece of hard foam out of the DeWalt case that was made to fit around the top of the saw and stuck it to the underside of the Systainer lid, trimming it where needed to achieve a proper fit without deforming the Systainer. Added a couple labels using the template supplied in another thread (sorry I don't remember who was kind enough to upload those but they work great) and made two for the DeWalt saw. Came out pretty nice in the end.

Charlie, you can make anything you want out of either thin wood or from a thin ABS sheet. As I continue to consolidate tools, consumables, and accessories into different Systainer's and Packout's I have found making the inserts to be the be more efficient for space usage. Use as light of weight material as possible, or the tool boxes get heavy. Like you I don't "want" more tool boxes, I want less, and am constantly reorganizing until things make sense. Dang they get heavy when loaded though...

125 sandpaper is best on edge in a SYS-2, not the Festool insert that lays the sandpaper flat in a SYS-1, and holds next to nothing. One of my OF2000 routers lives on a wooden support, in a SYS-4. It had to be a custom insert as it always has a big plate attached to it for a base.

Some sandpaper options. There are lots of options. The 125 paper might fit better going left to right instead of front to back. Save the labels from the boxes and you can put them onto the dividers.

As to the foam to store router bits there is often a complaint that in humid areas (Sonoma can be in winter, just not so much this year) the foam holds moisture against the shank area and can cause rust.

I have been eyeing these myself to use in a SYS-2 for router bit storage to consolidate my router bits. Designing it for possible future stackable design, maybe only over half the Systainer, and moving to a SYS-3 if needed.
