Systainer label replacements

I was thinking of cutting an 1/8" thick Plexiglas or lexan the the exact size of the label this weekend.

Place it over the label, drill and secure to the systainer with 4 rivets.  I have a couple systainers with peeling labels I would like to save.

This of course does not provide a solution to this threads question.  But perhaps it can help those keep their labels from falling of their systainers.

Call me Anal, Type A, Extreme, Obsessive, fanatical, zealous, fickle, coo koo, crazy.

Truth is, keeping the labels or professionally labeling the systainers may:
*Keep you organized
*Speed up/contribute to establishing credibility, Customer's will quickly form opinions of you based on your appearance.

Terp,

Now that there is a demand, I guess I'm going to have to build a jig for the MFT and Drill press ;D

Building the jigs I suspect may take a few months though.  Thanks now I won't be able to do mine this weekend ;)

Always make your toys from templates.

In case they break while being played with, so a quick replacement can be produced.  :D :D :D :D

Hi,

You are not "extreme" unless you secure the plexi to the Systainer with Festool knobs. :D

Seth

All the Festool knobs I've seen have been too large.  It would not be aesthetic.

Perhaps fabricating a frame for the plexiglas.  German silver, by preference.  8)

Now, that is ridiculous.  ;)

At this point, I think you should be looking for sleeker, aluminum cases with laser etched engravings of the labels.  Perhaps with plush leather interiors, tooled of course.
Oh, wait I think we need a custom line of veneered cases as well, with different exotics, as options. I know I have VIP taste.
Hey we could get famous woodworkers, like Krenov, to each design their own case, or that custom bike dude, Jesse James.      ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Or how about a "bling" Hip Hop line.  That would be platinum, diamond encrusted.  ::)

Yeah....then celebrities could show them off on TV shows or movies. Festool C12 in Zero Halliburton on Mission Impossible X. We are talking about tools priced like jewellery. A bit more attention to detail would fit the brand perfectly.

Sortainers have labels. Why can't systainers?

[Scene:  A city street.  Outside a bank a would-be robber lies seriously wounded, but unwilling to surrender.  Harry approaches close and points Festool C12 at him.]

Harry:  I know what you're thinking, punk.  Did he drill 5 holes, or 6?  But being as how this is a Festool C12, the most powerful 12 volt cordless drill in the world, you should be giving it serious consideration.

:D

Guys,  I have a label maker made by Brother.  Works pisser.  They're not too expensive either....like $30.  They come in very handy for labeling screws, parts etc, too.

This is a very old thread I am resurrecting...

Does anyone know where you can find the replacement plastic that ships on the side of the systainer?

I was also considering purchasing an ID or credit card printer. They seem to about about the same size.

Cheers

Here you go, T-LOC Systainer protective cover for labels, 10-Pack - 497855.  The id cards are the size of a euro business card, and they come with the label protectors. US sized  business cards will work if trimmed slightly if you have or want to pick up the printable ones.

This seems like the better deal. Go all the way down to the bottom.

Tanos label and protectors
