Hey y'all... I built a Systainer cart for my MFT table. Check it out:

Good video and I really like the cart. I'm thinking of making something similar but just a little longer than the table so I can set down a tool off of the deck and also store my Festool rails on it.

Hi,

Excellent video Ryan and your Systainer/MFT cart really is a beautiful piece of shop furniture - great build!

Thanks for sharing it with us!

Kind regards,
Oliver

Nice design.  I like the end drawers.  What are you keeping in them given the depth?

Can you still clamp marterial on the side of the cart or does the cart get in your way?

All four sides are still 100% useable...

Well done!  Your 'no measure' method of drawer installation makes for little room for mistakes.

Thanks for sharing.

That is a work of art !!!  Do you have plans available?  If so I would like to make one of these for my shop.  This is amazing !!!

You act with a great degree of humility. That is very refreshing. I commend you for that. Your project looks very nice and well thought.

[member=63929]AtomicRyan[/member] You mentioned you started down this path to build kitchen cabinets. So can we get an update? More work than anticipated? In progress? Did you invest in the LR32 system?

Hey guys. Thanks for all the nice words.

1. I do have plans... Sketchup plans can be found here:
https://www.garagejournal.com/2017/06/the-systainer-cart/

2. I haven't made any videos lately because I finished the cart in the middle of the summer - which is my busy season at work... And I haven't moved on to the cabinets inside the house yet as it's been too cold to get out in the shop as of late. I'm filled with excuses.

I will, however, get to it soon!

[member=63929]AtomicRyan[/member] Thank you for the update. I'm sure I'm not alone in eagerly awaiting new videos from you. It's refreshing to see a mechanic's approach to this and your production skills are incredible.

Giving me wayyyy too much credit man. At the end of the day, it's just a work bench base... shot with a nice camera.

You guys will be making fun of me when I start making these cabinets for the house... I'm sure of it!

Nice job...I missed this thread somehow. [tongue] The task I hate the most is the clear poly process. [crying]  [crying]

Did you poly the insides of the end drawers also?

Very familiar looking design: one example

[member=14226]sprior[/member].  Your 2013 design was one of the nicest ones that I had seen, and like many here, incorporated many of your ideas into my own.  I have seen many variations and all appear inspired by yours.
