Richard Leon said:What's the big deal? No company can be reasonably expected to endlessly produce all the models in its product line. Festool are supporting the old systainers for 7 years or so. That's reasonable.
If a user has a particular situation which calls for using the old systainers, such as in Festfan's case, they could put the new tool in an old systainer. I think dealers over here are willing to sell new tools in old systainers.
So dealers will have to buy more old systainers to put the new tools in and then try and sell the new once to make up for buy the old ones plus they have stickers which the dealer would have to take of so he can sell them as a plain systainer. So I dont think dealers will be willing to sell tools in a old systainer they will be willing to sell them in the new systainer and also sell you an empty old systainer.
