This is my review of the SYS-1 T-LOC with Box Insert.  I ran across this deal which included 1300 SPAX screws and is one of those "while supplies last" events and wanted to share it with you.

Cool video! I said "Don't do it" to myself just before you flipped the Systainer over and shook it! Glad to see the screws and bins stay in place.

I think you said you bought it at Pilot Hardware..? Is this an online or retail store (or both)? I would be interested in purchasing if still available.

Highland Hardware. Found it with a quick Google search

i've never used spax screws - is this a good deal?

I've got about 5 or 6 of those systainers and use them for lots of things. I have some original with screws in then I've taken a few boxes out of some to make room for a multimaster, Kreg jig and a trimmer. It worked out a really cheap way to get systainer ones, I think they were around £25 on special here a few years back.

I've looked at this box setup. Empty that is, never seen an offering with screws.  I will be getting a couple of these very soon. I had always thought that if transported they would spill over between boxes. Never noticed the foam lid. Great idea and I'm sold.

Thanks for the review.

I don't believe that the screw assortment aspect is a Festool package.  Years ago McFeelys offered assortments of various screw types in these types of systainers.  I have two of those in the classic systainers.  Mine boxes end of sideways and upside down often and there isn't any transfer between boxes.

Spax have become my go-to screw, they don't need pilot holes and don't split wood often. Based on local HD pricing there is probably $50 in screws, perhaps more, so the Systainer costs about $50.

I have noticed that the screws strip easier than McFeely's square drive no-corrode.
