I have an old Makita impact drill that had an attic, which really worked good for storing misc drill bits and driver tips.  The unit is about 10 years old and the attic lid is shot.  Was wondering in festool made a systainer with an attic lid so I could do the same.

Thanks for your response.

Rondon   The Festool part # is 497852. You could check with some of the on line dealers here to see if they have it in stock.
Should be available this is not a NANIA systainer
Also let me say welcome to FOG

Rondon - Please let us know if you do find 497852 in the USA. I have checked a couple of US online dealers and Amazon and came up empty. I would be interested in this one myself---

Thanks everyone for the replies.  Now I need to find out if everything that I want in it will fit.

I just got one from Lee Valley. If you look at the photo Alex posted a few replies above, you will see the new locking mechanism in the center. This lock is much more secure than the original style which was a hinge mechanism. A couple of times I hit the hinge lock without knowing it and when I opened the lid of the Systainer, the contents of the attic all spilled out. The new lock makes that problem very unlikely.

The compartments are 15/16" high , 3  9/16" wide (3  7/16" at the divider rib locations) 6 1/2" long  (Classic) or 6" long (T-Loc).   There is about an 1/8" loss on height  and length at the back edge when the lid is opened because of the way the hinge rotates.  It mat or may not interfere depending on the object.

Dividers are spaced approx. 1  1/2" on the Classic and 1  3/8" on the T-Loc.

Have you seen that Festool part on this side of the Pond, Sal?

I just checked and it's not in the NA Master Parts List for dealers.
