Systainer3 interior height

The systainer3 dimension chart was posted her by [member=64013]ElectricFeet[/member] a while back. An excerpt of that is shown here:

What I need to know is:
a) Is the the interior height measured from the floor of the systainer or from the top of the raised ribs that protrude from the bottom? And what is the height of those ribs?
b) In the standard systainer3 (not one with an attic lid or similar), are there any ribs that extend down into the interior space?

Basically I need to know the minimum interior height that I can count on at any point inside except maybe at the very perimeter.

Anyone with a Sys3 that can measure it for me? Any Sys3 will do as long as you tell me which one it is. Or if you have a pointer to that info, that would work too.

Thanks, Mark

Unfortunately cannot help as sell all SYS3 as soon as possible..

But do keep in mind the SYS3 437, 337 and possibly others have reinforced bottoms - the bottom ribs are higher than on a 112 and such. So you do care which version it is to understand the actual available heights. Lids are the same.

Ah, thank you for pointing out that the ribs aren't all the same height. That didn't cross my mind although it makes sense since a SYS3 112 wouldn't normally carry as heavy a payload as the larger ones.

The one I'm considering for this project is the SYS3 187 which I think will be fine but I'd like to make sure before buying one. I could just get a SYS3 237 but I really don't want the 2" additional height if I don't need it.

My square is sitting on top of the ribs. Hope this helps!

Thank you [member=75283]4nthony[/member]!! That confirms that the SYS3 M187 will do what I need.

The other day, my wife came out to the garage and asked why I had so many rulers. I answered, "for the same reasons you have so many shoes."

Yes, I could definitely compete to be the Imelda Marcos of rulers…  [unsure] [big grin]
