Systainers And Porsche 911

I'm currently losing my SUV because my kids are coming home, which leaves me with a Tesla model S to haul the tools and wood. I'm at a loss especially how I'm going to get the 2x4's and 4x8's to the house I'm rehab'ing, but now I'm encouraged.

You can fit a 10' long 2x4 in the S with the hatch closed!  4x8's you are out of luck with.  If you've got the full glass roof there is no provisions for a roof rack, but the earlier Tesla's have mounting holes for a roof rack, should easily be able to put a couple of sheets on that.

I've gotten alot of weird looks and comments going to pick up a couple hundred pounds of angle iron from the steel yard or a bunch of wood from the lumberyard in my S, but I've never had any issues with it.  The amount of tools and other crap you can fit in it is ridiculous, particularly if you have the big frunk.

Not quite Porsche level, but my current “truck” is a BMW X5. It has so much room in the back, more than my last small truck. And the Diesel engine gets over 1000 km’s to a tank.

You want to see Systainers in a Velomobile  [tongue]?

Sure...is that like the Oscar Meyer weiner mobile?

Haha, no. It's a fully enclosed recumbent bike; massively reducing Cd*A so you can cycle much faster with the same energy. Easy to beat the mopeds.
