Well I thought I needed them of course!
And I just do not like, okay really dislike, okay hate the systainers. I will be replacing with all T-loc systainers.
When you get into different projects you find which tools you use the most. I decided that any tool I had not touched in 6 months I would sell. After going through the shop, those were the tools I sold here. Boy it was more tools than I ever dreamed of that I rarely used.
Some things were double as I was going back to a crew, but then thought better of it so the crew tools stayed never used. And the short time I had the crew caused massive complaints that I am still dealing with. I am glad I did get out of the crew fast as the economy fell apart and working alone is the only thing that saved me in the end. And my wife's steady income.
BUT, I still have more Festools then I sold. And an RO90, a RAS 115, and an OF2200 are all in the VERY NEAR future. Things that I need for everyday use.
Lastly, I am into CNC now. I still have tons of inlay tools that I will be selling soon also. I just do not need a lot of tools I needed in the past, the CNC does it now. After doing things so long certain operations are just boring once you master them, those operations go to the CNC as well.
I built my CNC, it is a hobby in itself. As a hobby it takes up some of the woodworking hobby time and most woodworking is for work now. Most CNC building and CNC woodwork is for fun and for a future business that is in the works. There is some cross over of course.
