Has anyone had their charger flash a blinking red light yet while trying to charge a battery? and it is only 8  months  old with limited usage

Yeah.

I had that issue the first time i tried to charge my batteries onsite. Stupid me didnt bother to read what the flashing red means, so ended up with 2 dead batteries. [huh]

I figured i had just put the battery on incorrectly. havent had an issue since.

I seem to remember that I had that once and when I removed and reset the battery, it changed to flashing green.

It's supposed to indicate a fault or faulty connection.

Have you tried both batteries?

Blinking red light means a fault of some sort. It could be temperature related since it's particularly cold where you're located. If you take the battery off and reseat it and it still has trouble, give us a call and we'll help you get it figured out.

Just a recommendation, and this is nothing against your dealer, but would recommend that you deal directly with our Service Department in the future. It takes one additional party out of the loop. For a tool that's within the first year of warranty, we send a UPS call tag to pick up the tool from the location of your choice saving you a drive to UPS or your dealer. Then tool is sent back to the address of your choosing. It's practically full service. You're not relying on the dealer to send it back at their convenience.

You should anticipate a 1-2 day turn around from our service department. 98% of tools are serviced and shipped back out within 48 hours of receipt.
