T-15 Impact, Wont go when TI-FX attached

I was trying to use my T15 Impact. It works fine with no chuck, but when I put the TI-FX on and lock it down, the drill will not turn. This happens at any speed, fresh battery - I get a beep-beep noise. Attaching a right angle chuck for example to the TI-FX does not help.

Any ideas on what I might be overlooking before I call service?

Had not tried it, but just found that the keyless chuck gets the same result, beep-beep and no action.

Can you rotate the TI-FX by hand ? Just reading the bottom about the chuck doing the same thing there is a problem with the TI-15

The TI-FX will only install in two positions, 180 degrees to each other, it does not rotate once on the drill as far as I can see. It will lock down, but the drill is a no-go.

I will call service!

Mine is the same, once the impact function is disconnected by using the dedicated chuck or TI-FX the drill mode is next to useless. Any resistance or pressure applied to the drill and it stops and beeps. I'm impressed with the T-15 as an impact drill Festool should have left it there and not tried to make a cross breed as it fails as a drill.

You've discovered "hammer mode" .. nothing actually works, just use the thing like a real hammer [wink]
