I recall a previous discussion regarding locating a supplier of Boeshield for use as a protectant for your tools.  Rockler sells it in an aerosol can for $8.29 but if you don't want or can't order from there, I've discovered an alternate supplier.  I was at a dealer buying parts for my motorcycle yesterday and noticed that Yamaha is selling Boeshield under their name.  My local store wants $15/can so it's not cheap, but if you're desperate it's an option.

I've been using a product called Rusty Duck which is a gun lube/protectant on my table saw and jointer beds.  It works ok, but isn't impervious to a small leak I got over the winter.  Now, if I just had a systainer big enough to store my jointer in, I wouldn't need to use my RO150 to polish out the marks the water left on the table.  (See, I worked a Festool reference in there?)

Ok, I'll bite.  After spending an hour with the RO150, the coarse polishing spongehttp://www.festoolusa.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProdID=488345&ID=7, and some MAAS metal polish, I've decided to look for a faster way.  The goal is no longer merely to remove the marks left by the water spots (oxidation/rust).  Now I've decided I want that mirror-like finish from my Powermatic jointer (oh, and get rid of the marks too).  What's the best way to do so?  The only paper I've got is Brilliant 36-320 grit.  I'm thinking that my current process will work, but it is SLOW.  Any ideas?

Never Dull seems to cut through oxidation and stains pretty well. Might be worth a try.
