T-Minus 3 Days and Counting... What's on your shopping list for Oct 1st?

The C15 is on my list, to replace my NiCad C12 as my primary drill (the C12 then becomes the second drill to compliment the C15), but it is extremely unlikely to happen on 10/1.

Later this or early next year.

I can't wait for the robotic bird in a systainer 4!  Hope the droppings are metallic so cleanup is easy in the house.

I don't remember that being on the extensive list.

Patience Grasshopper.  Patience.  [big grin]

Ken, that bird is involved with a completely different company, not even a sister company of Fes nor under the TTS umbrella....from what I understand.  You see, I was expecting a gift from Fes this year, a bird of my own ;)

Just a small order of abrasives for me.  Although there were a few times today I wish I had a T18 for drilling and screwing Ipe.  The belt hook would be most welcome, I was stuck using another brand dill and impact because my T15 drills don't have the  belt hook. [sad]

Brice, we had one chucked up the other day with a 1-1/2" Forstner bit.  I was blown away by the power, but the ease of control was just something else.  DeWalt's new 20V offering couldn't compete and the few holes it made where it was trying to keep up with the T 18, it was a wild, bucking bull.  Very difficult to control.  The T 18 was smooth, controlled, just really something else.  And friggin light / ergonomic!

The title says it all.

New products: C12, C15, T18, CT48, Centrotec Set, Zobo bits.

The sander promo: 10% off ETS 125, ETS 150, RO 90, RO 125, RO 150, Shinex and RAS 115 as well as related accessories and abrasives.

What's on your list and why?

Why?  Because they are GREEN.  [wink]

I also want to get a Systainer for the RO90 abrasives -- is that -10% also?

Honestly, I want the RO90 for the Delta detail capability and I don't have any of the Centrotec bits.
  It is Ron.

My current list is (in order):

  • TS 55 + some accessories
  • RS 2 & CT 26 Package + abrasives for the RS (My understanding is that neither the RS 2 or its abrasives is on sale. Correct?)
  • RS 90 + abrasives

Only then can I consider something else. How long should the Centrotec set be available? I'm under the impression that it will probably be sold out by the time I get through with this list.

Trust me, I'm tempted.  The warehouse is piling up with boxes and paper.  I'd love to get that stuff outta here to free up some space.  Maybe start petitioning Shane?  I refuse to upset the Royal Greenies.

For those wondering about what bird is being referenced:

Festo Robotic Bird

For those wondering about any sort of relationships of companies:

[attachimg=#]

Are they related?  As the wiki says, Festo split away the small power tools part and created an umbrella for the various companies.  If my memory is correct Festo and TTS still are privately owned by the founding family of Festo.  So maybe not brothers and sister companies, but close cousins.

Peter

Forget close cousins.  Apparently the Brothers Stoll own Festo and their Sister, and I believe Mother, own Festool / TTS.  I don't think Festo is part of TTS anymore but I might be wrong.  I'm sure someone will chime in soon 'nuff to set me straight.

hahahaha.  By the looks of it that family is so damn intelligent n savy, I don't think they need a lick of help.

Centro-tec set.  'Bout time.  Dyin' to get it.  'Nuff said.

Also waiting on a Sys-Toolbox making its way across the pond.    :-)

I will be a happppy camper by the end of next week (hopefully!)  New (old) house to start renovating in 8 days.

Just picked up the new mini. Wow! It's awesome.

Once again I had to teach the woodcraft guys about the updates to the smaller vacs. He argued against the new motor and kept pointing to the older catalogue! Saying that FOG has no real content! And if I want to learn something, I should go take a class.
I actually called festool headquarters and asked them if the motor had been upgrade.then when I get off the phone with festool, he discredits the conversation! Still thinking it's gossip!

Anyway, I might be going back to tax free Rockler to grab my c12.

Ken's one liners would have to become paragraphs with footnotes and references  [poke].

I applaud the Stoll family for everything they have done and continue to do.  A world wide family company is rare and speaks to the rare qualities that they have and have instilled in those who work with them.  [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

Maybe my original message related to ordering some new stuff could be misinterpreted so I'll just delete it.

Thanks,

Mike
