hi all,

I am looking at buying an 18v T or C drill set and a BHC body only to share batteries with, I only have a little CXS as my only drill driver which has done me fine but I'm in the need for a bit more oomph.

I did receive a free 18v batterie with the scratch cards last year so I do have one batterie already Its a BPC 18-4.2 I hope its compatible?

I am slightly undecided on a T or a C shape, is the only difference the grip style or is there any other differences in the machine?

My other question is what does the +3 mean for the T shape and do both the sets come with the same kit?

Cheers all

The +3 is just marketing hype, the drills function the same.  As you mentioned it's only the grip that differs. In the States the kits are the same, I don't know if that is true in the UK.

The C grip can be a bit foreign if you haven't used that style before and you may find you don't like it. I do like the C grip, but I've also got a T handle PDC for heavy work .. I prefer C for precision work and T for more "robust" activity.

I agree with Kev.  I use a CXS for precision drilling and T18 for heavy duty.  I use the CXS more because it is light, stores next to my Centortec set and always seems to be around when I need to drill a hole or drive a screw.

I believe the T is fractionally more powerful than the C. Also I recomend trying the C before you buy it.
I love the CXS but hated the larger C drills. Too front heavy in my  opinion.

That's a great point. If you don't have a lot of strength in the wrist, a T handle will be kinder to you .. it's easy to forget that when you have gorilla genetics [embarassed]

I made that mistake. I love my CXS but could not get used to the C drill and switched to my T18.

I have the "C" style handle (C18), and love it.  Keep in mind the BHC is also a "C" style handle, and since you already have the CXS, also a "C" style handle, you could end up with all three with the same design (small, medium and large).

so I made up my order today for the C18 and BHC, should be arriving tomorrow.

I was undecided to the last minute but love the CXS and thought they wouldn't have made it if it wasn't any good so Ill let you know how I get on.

Small, Medium, Large.  Makes sense now you say it  [smile]
