well i phoned festool today and i gonna fill in returns form to have it picked up wednesday and loan me a t15. they rekon 48hr turn around

The 48hrs turn around does not include delivery time by the way so you add couple of days or more to that!

Haaahaa lol well might have very slow delivery. I'll send mine off soon see how fast i can get mine done.

he said they have the replaced the inner casing. Won't get time to pick it up until thursday

well my dealer told me they sent the drill back and said it was fine, he got it out the box pressed the trigger and the speed fluctuated straight away sooooo they collected it again and have replaced;

494374 basic unit
498413 electronics
495196 motor
472035 housing insert

not bad saying there was nothing wrong with it apparently.

well it seems to sound better but its not had a proper test yet but it will next week

I think some who say they never had a problem on Fog just dont use drills as much as we do! lol [tongue]

but the thing is i oly had it back a week after it having a new motor and electronics, how can they break and need replacing after a week??? i think they don't know jack about electronics and randomly replace stuff till it seems like it is working

I kno!  Well as u know I had the same problem with mine wen I sent mine it came back worse i dont think festool is very good at repairing drills mine had a few things replaced aswelll.  Milwueakee are very good they just replace the entire drill.

my milwueakee driver which I burnt out drilling oak is kinda my fault but milwueakee replaced the motor no questions asked!

well all has been resolved now as festool have took pity on me and changed my drill for a new 1 and to say sorry they have upgraded me to a new t18, just waiting for it to turn up now. Thankyou festool uk

hoping to get some photos of it all when it arrives, Working 60mies away tomorrow so if it turns up i wont be able to get it [crying] [sad] [crying]

I have been told just that the T15 has had many faults and the dealer is not promoting the T15 any more cus of alot of people coming back with problems but he said the T18 seem to be better not had any come back yet and the price difference between the two is hardly anything so he said he rather sell people T18 over the T15 now. 

Me and you Dean we arnt the only ones!

Let me know the power difference between the two! If you can tell a big difference!

And if it does come with a chuck if it's ratchet and if it's any good! Need to know! LoL cus I will throw my chuck away crap thing and buy the new ratchet one.

never had a power shortfall on the t15 so i don't think the t18 will be much improvement on that really. not sure if it is any faster or not as that is 1 thing i would like, a little more speed. Will report back [big grin]
