T18, T15 AND DEWALT 18 VOLT video review

Nice review, but I almost need subtitles.  [blink]  [poke]

Good comparison. I think the comment about burning up any drill other than a Festool is a strong statement. For those who aren't aware, nearly all of our tools have electronics that protect them from overheating, overload, and other harmful conditions.

Also, we will be getting the T18 in the US/Canada this summer since I suspect the question will come up.

Again, nice review. Thanks!

Outstanding review Kevin. This is why I retired my "yellow stuff" three years ago when I bought my first Festool drill (C12). Wouldn't trade it or my newer T15 for anything I've seen on the market so far. My C12 still gets used daily and has never had anything done to it. I don't ever recall having a yellow drill that didn't need a trigger or batteries or battery contacts or brushes, you get the idea, after a year.

Love the video, Kevin.  I just got a T15-3 and I love the drill.  Worth every penny.

Mate, your video sold me on the T-18. that's the kind of comparison I was looking for. Cheers!

Kev,

As someone who happily does videos even though I probably shouldn't  [eek], keep doing them!

i did a demonstration at the same time  (how to fit a door) using a hinge jig, OF 1010, EHL65. [scared]
I haven't looked at it or edited it yet , might put subtitles on next time [big grin]

Nice video.

Looked at your site! You say you fit Ikea kitchen! Wa do u think of dem?  In think the hingers draw runners are fine but the units are crap they have no room on the back and the packs are paper thin plus you have the nail the packs on why is der no slot so you can slide dem into instead. I have fitted 3 Ikea and if I can I will avoid doin dem especially on a old house with no straight Walls as you can not do anything about it. Lol and umm  B&Q let's say bit better with some things but your paying top dollar for crap quality[tongue

Sorry not da long ago fitted a Ikea and saw your site lol was a pain as plumbers had pipes running every where and even a cable was stopping us getting the units back tom the wall.

JMB,

It's that and them, not dat and dem. [tongue]

Sorry if it seems picky, I know it's not the done thing to criticise others' spelling & grammar on internet forums. If it was a geniune spelling mistake I'd be happy to let it go, but this has been going on for a while now & it's obvious that it's deliberate.

Nxt thng yl b goin al txt spk....

[big grin]

Great video! Keep making them :)  Ignore the yankees and the subtitle-demands :)

I fancy a whisky now to be honest :D

I dont like fitting them but i charge extra for fitting them, some people like their designs.
I prefer howdens kitchens ,most people get a quote from B&Q OR IKEA phone me up for a quote
and 99percent of the time they end up with a howdens kitchen after ive been [big grin]

Yip same here I try and recommend howdens as I do charge more for B&Q an Ikea but  some people dont listen I cnt blame them though.  As I think howdens budget kitchens are not that great either especially der draw runners are rubbish nice that they are already fitted though just not very good.  Any way I cant blame them because I had to fit 3 Ikea kitchens in one house well he got a quote from Howdens 12 000 -13 000  and the same amount of units and everything and he even got an induction hob and what I think where better appliances aswell compared two howdens it only cost him 6800 or something with solid worktops and oak in the main kitchen. Well I must admit at that price cant blame him as I find howdens tries to sell cheap non brand appliances at branded prices.  I think if IKEA and Howdens became one company then they would be very good kitchens.  Ikeas draw runners and and hinges and price lol and howdens ready made Units with voids and good costumer service.

I could give you several reasons, but the main one is that text speak makes it difficult to read by some people, particularly those whose 1st language isn't English (which is a significant percentage of FOG users).

I don't want to detract from Kev's thread, so I think we should leave it there, or start a new thread in the 'off-topic' section, preferably in 'General Friendly Chat' (where I hope any such discussion would remain 'friendly' [big grin] ).
