Table saw w/ Saw Stop technology

I do not think the PCS system could be adapted to a portable saw. It looks like it needs a lot of room below the table to function.

The video did not mention the issue of wet wood. I assume a bypass switch would be involved.

Bosch figured out how to do it, and SS didn't like it so they sued to protect
their inability to develop something that does work on a portable table saw.

The Felder one (and another I can't remember) is non destructive and works before contact. I wish I had £9k and a big enough garage!

Define portable saw.
https://www.sawstop.ca/table-saws/by-model/jobsite-saw/ (with cart, 113 lbs). According to the online Build & Price basic option for the PRO, about $2000 Cdn.

Same kind as the Bosch Reaxx (133 lbs) which, by the way, is still available in the Canadian market (for about $2200 Cdn).

I've used the Jobsite (old version) a couple of times, the ICS since 2007, and owned the PCS since 2014. I would not spend money on a portable saw unless portability outweighs all other considerations.

It's just another tool on the very long list of tools that Festool refuses to let us buy.
