Take our Finishing Survey for a chance to win!

I got two emails.  The first was impossible to answer the questions.  The second worked fine.

I can only assume, since the survey was hosted through a third party site, that we sent them a few more people simultaneously than their site could handle. It seems like those who were among the first to try had problems and that those problems have subsided. But, that's just a guess.

I took the survey, Does the mean Festool is considering some kind of Spray gun, turbine etc...

Greg, no, it does not mean that. I wouldn't expect Festool to get into those types of products.

If anyone reads the sequence above, two topics have been merged due to the fact that they are dealing with the same matter.

LOL, you're not alone.  Got to Q 18, can't believe people stuck it out to 30 or 31Qs.

Regards,

John

Dude! You bailed out too early!  After Q31 it gave a clip-n-print coupon for 50% off your next Festool purchase!  [tongue]

You only got 50% off?  You should have done it sooner.  I guess they ran out of the 100% off coupons plus a Shane Holland foot massage.

Glad you didn't try working in "Faster, Easier..." into the joke :)

I got it all answered with little problems. I was confused on some of how I should answer it though. As far as Festools go, I'm just a hobbyist, but I hold a paint gun for up to ten or more hours a day, and have used several different brands. I was filling in all the questions about what I like about the equipment, then it asks how many you buy a year, and  I felt if I put zero down, it just made it sound like I was making it all up!  [laughing] Oh well, I would be more than happy to help develop something. We've been trying new guns at work, so far the favorite is the Graco Airpro for ergonomics, but the Anest Iwata really layed a nice finish down.

Took the survey via the magazine site without any problems.  Can someone with a business background explain why Festool would become involved in such a detailed survey if they had no interest in developing a product for that market?  The cost of developing the survey, and organizing the returned data must have been significant.  Gotta' believe they have an interest in the HVLP spray market, despite the official denial.  I'm hoping they do offer a product, the competition will keep the other manafacturers on their toes.

I agree with the poster regarding the questions about frequency of purchases.  High end spray equipment is much like Festool woodworking equipment,  it's worth caring for properly, and repairing when needed.  It should last for many years.

Took the survey no problemsbut what a PITA... Seemed to answer the same question over and over and took way too long.

there are 30 questions? when I took it there were only 3 and it saved  successfully

I saw the same thing. I wonder if it had anything to do with my answers that I'm a hobbyist who doesn't have or use any spray equipment.

Edited to add: Yet…

Just took the survey to see what it's all about. Paint spraying is my background as I grew up in a body shop/ furniture/industrial spray shop.

Didn't seem long to me and most questions made perfect sense to me.

Lol, except 34.

33: Where are you located: Europe.

34: If located in North America, which state or province are you from?: ....... errrr  Mandatory!!!!

So now I live in The Netherlands but also in Alabama. Gotta love Alabama.  [smile]
